Introducing fun-learning strategies for engaging all students



“All of us are born with an inherent curiosity and thirst for learning“. In today’s dynamic world, with new technologies on the rise, information gathering becomes redundant. We have introduced several fun-based learning strategies at all levels.

“Wonder Wednesday,” introduced for Montessori kids, is one such fun-learning strategy where we fuel the inquisitive nature of children to explore questions and use their imaginations. This results in a positive cycle of learning and the joy of discovery. “Junior Newton” activities are science experiments and sensory explorations for STEM and STEAM learning.

For our grades 1 and 2, we introduced the “Fantastic Flying Festival,” where students took part in dart, paper aeroplane, frisbee, kite, and yin-yang boomerang competitions. It was unlimited fun for kids to be a part of these competitions, where they learned concepts in physics. “Experiential learning activities” in math and science with manipulatives that spark the curiosity in kids.

In grades 3 and 4, students had to learn about “body movements and joints”. We asked check here the students to make a short video clip where they showcased their hobby and, in the course of the video, explained the joints involved in the activity and its scope of movement. “General Knowledge Program” with a monthly quiz on current affairs to develop global awareness.
Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 learned about acute, obtuse, and check here right angles in their yoga class while performing different asanas. Students of Grade 10 put on a skit on alkanes, alkenes, and alkynes where they showcased their talent for stand-up comedy. The class was in splits when Methene and Methyne put out their plight of existence.
Psychology students in Grades 11 and 12 voiced out the stigma associated with mental illness in the special assembly #CBSE School conducted on Mental Health Day through a hilarious skit.
Students conducted various activities across grades to bring in mental peace. Art as therapy, dance as therapy, music as therapy, sport as therapy, the wall of click here gratitude, and the emotional dump corner made the day memorable for everyone.
Special theme-based assemblies are planned to test students on various skills.Value-based assembly to teach students the simple hacks that help them in their day-to-day lives. Incorporating sports here into the regular curriculum with standardized assessments.
Children have an innate sense of fun and frolic, and we need to fuel this passion using fun- based learning.
